Growing up, I remember summer time be the time my sisters and I would get out my mom red Betty Crocker's cookbook and experiment with new recipes.
I also remember my mom yelling at us girls, not to heat up the house in the summer. The air is on, she would say! So, the oven cooking was done early in morning or late at night, or before mom was home from work.
My family just recently visited the Amish and one of things I noticed driving by the Amish homes is that smoke was coming out of the home chimney. WOW, that has to be hot! I guess that why older timers would have a summer kitchens. I guess we call our summer kitchen, a grill.
So, not to warm up the house I going to share with you some EASY, FAST, KEEP YOUR HOUSE COOL, recipes I am trying out this summer. Feel free to try them out!
