I added this video to my Inside the Classroom page. I made it quickly today to help market myself in any future endeavor, I may purse. I hope it will be helpful for me. Enjoy watching. I also add a new drop down Class website link page to inside the classroom page. I included my TU college students digital design sites that they are currently work on. And I also include my high school students Digital Art and Photography class blogs/sites. I think both groups are doing a great job and I hope they will have find their site beneficial. Check them out and leave them comments. They would love it!

After about 7 years my husband finally said, YES to remodeling the kitchen. Excited but neverous that we will know enough, we began to tackle the chanegelle in the Summer of 2010. Here are pictures thus far. Started with the... RoofIt actually started outside with the roof over the kitchen. It's been leaking since we move in but we keep putting a bandaid on it each year. Finally we put a new the roof on the back part on very hot (100 degree) days. A experience we will never forget. It's amazing to think the slate roof has last since 1903. "Old timers new what they were doing." Wall RemovalCabinet RemovalCeiling & Wall RebuildMuddingWe are still at this stage. We have the third coat of mudding to put on this week. I hope to update you weekly on the status of our "Kitchen Remodel Endeavor." I also need your input on the color (s). I am thinking light blue or yellow. Any thoughts, please share? Stay tune or should I say, log in!
Web definitions: Definition for {potty training}: (potty-trained) (of children) trained to use the toilet. wordnetweb.princeton.edu/perl/webwn My definitions: (potty-training) (of Sam) trained not to pee in his pants, floor, bed, or put his hand inside his poop diaper just to know what poop feels like. "yes, he did this" www.mommyhumphrey.com It has started, the new and exciting class of potty training 101. Just yesterday, I changed his wet pants three times and resorted to trying the pull-up diapers that get the cool feeling when you pee. "I gotta love Sam reaction to that feeling." Thinking about ALL the moments you remember when your kids are young, POTTY TRAINING seems to be the one everyone remembers. As I know this will only be another Little Moment to remember, my hopes is it will go smoothly. Wish us Luck!
Being a teacher... it's full of it up's and down's feelings. Some moments.. I feel like the world greatest teacher and and next moments.. the worst. (I always hope I end the day feeling like best but that not always the case.) It's a lot like being a parent, you hope and pray you are do it right. You try your best you can and in hopes that you are able to some how make a difference. Not to often do you hear that was a good lesson or you wow I love that project but I try to remember it's not the praise that counts but the outcome. Well my principal shared this video at our last teacher meeting, it gave us a good laugh. Thought I would share it to give you all a good laugh, too. http://www.inspiredteacher.net/2011/10/how.far.off.is.this/ For the project above I took a old can (used formula can) and spray painted it with chalkboard paint. Then took chalking and just drew on it. What fun..and easy to change. I think this can help me stay organized.
Winter is here and snowmen are being built. First snowmen creation, is a 2x4 scrap piece of would I found in the school shop room when I was looking for a place to store some school supplies. Spray painted it white and... I add a nose to my snowman. The nose is a piece of scrap wood that I found next to the table saw. It makes a perfect carrot nose. Painted it with acrylic orange paint and used distress ink to give it value. Then used nail glue to attach it. I add two piece of branch stixs that I found laying in the yard. Screwed in holes, no glue need it, prefect fit. For eyes and mouth just used permanent black marker. Signed the back with my name and date. That's it! 6. Add card stock paper for backing put a hat on it and Isabella said "What about a scarf", you see one with a scarf, that hers. 7. I add a hat from piece of scrap black paper and sew on a button. Inspiration from: Parenting Magazine Give it a try... let me know how your turn out!
Last week... I was over my head in grading. Approximately 150 Folders, Binders, Projects, Websites/Blogs, Portfolios and Exams. This week... Enjoying my kids and loving every moment of it. Spent time reorganizing too.. My mission this week has been reorganizing and cleaning as much as I can in hope to help next semester go smoother. The picture on left is a little embrassing, but picture on right you can see the major progress. Now keeping it this way will be the real challenge. Wish us luck. Now back in full swing.
Our new years eve started off with taking my daughter, Isabella to urgent care. She been fighting a cold for about a week and now she has strep throat. This wasn't going to stop the party that I promised them. We just didn't put up the sign in the yard inviting all to come, that what Isabella wanted. Party Plans were:
