"Final Count Down" by Europe is the song my husband likes to sing to me when my summer is almost over. He knows my stress level is through the roof. He loves to tease me, I gotta love him.
This year will be bring about many changes for me. One of the changes is getting a new classroom. Many art teacher have abundance amount of supplies and I am no different. "Call me a pack rat". I had tears in my eyes just looking at the mess and the amount of work that awaited me. So, I reached out to some of my great students. I mean great, we knock out this mess in 4 hours. WOW, 2 months of work and many hours away from my family, done. A HUGE thank you to my students, I feel so blessed to have great students! I would like to wish them the best in their future endeavors. They gave me more then just a clean classroom but strength to continue to strive to be the best teacher I can be, for them.
Summer wouldn't be summer without baseball/softball. My sisters and I would throw the ball around all the time. When we became bored some sort of ball is what we resorted to (volleyball, softball, tennis ball, basketball).
Growing up with baseball fields practically in are back yard, the memories are so vivid. I loved playing barn ball- baseball games next to the diamonds. We use to take paper Pepsi cup from the trashcan and flatting it to use for the ball. Our hands made the bat. We wore the grass in from running the bases so much. I love the sound of the chatter and dark warm night, lit by the ball diamond lights. What fun memories. Now it my children’s turn.

Video Technology students are studying about advertisement and I gave them a bag of chips with their homework attached that told them to watch the Superbowl commercials. Assignment was to take one of their favorite commercial from the big game and do a spin off. We were also studying script writing. Enough about the assignment check this video out. Student uploaded to YouTube and also parent took it to work. How fun!
FOR SALE: My Ceramic II students are learning how to use their talents to make money. It's so exciting to sell your work as a artist. For this project the art students partner up with Entrepreneurship Business class which have established and maintain operation of a school store. Together they are learning about marketing, sales, management, and so much more. It's a really neat opportunity for both classes. Hope you able to look over the slide show and see some of great products they have designed and developed.
